What is the CCL?

The CCL (Chess Champions League) is a flagship competitive circuit designed for players of all levels to experience structured, competitive play.

• Format: The CCL typically follows a Swiss-system format, ensuring you play opponents of similar skill levels throughout the event.
• Time Control: Games are usually played at Rapid time controls (15+10 or 10+5), providing a perfect balance between deep calculation and fast-paced excitement.
• Divisions: Players are separated into rating divisions, meaning you won't have to face a Grandmaster in your first round if you are a beginner!

Exploring the ICCL

The ICCL (International Chess Club League) is a team-based event where chess academies and clubs from around the world compete for dominance.

Unlike the individual-focused CCL, the ICCL is all about teamwork and strategy.

• Team Composition: Teams consist of 4 to 6 players. Board order is strictly organized by rating.
• Match Format: Each team match consists of head-to-head games against the opposing club.

How to Prepare
